Dear Colleagues,

      On behalf of the Organizing Committee I have the pleasure to inform you that the Institute of Botany of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be the organizer of the IV Balkan Botanical Congress. It will take place in Sofia, 20-26 June 2006. The venue of the event will be Vitosha Park Hotel.

      The scientific areas identified by the organizers will provide for the possibility a broad range of experts to participate and present their knowledge in plant biodiversity on the Balkans and share their views for its future investigation and conservation.

      We will be honoured to host the IV Balkan Botanical Congress and welcome you in Sofia - the symbol of wisdom - and make you feel the warm Bulgarian hospitality.
